It is no secret that we are inundated with misinformation regarding diet, fitness, weight loss, exercise, etc. every day. From fad diets to Body by Jake infomercial pieces of junk to scam diet pills, it is no wonder people are confused on how to really lose fat and get fit.

Having the pleasure of living with 2 herniated disks (L2/L3 and L3/L4 if you’re curious), I know back pain. I also know what I need to do in order to keep my back as healthy as I can so that I can avoid going under the knife.
Most people know that one of the keys to avoiding low back pain is to develop the muscles of your trunk, or core. These include the muscles in your back, hips, abs, sides, or basically the area between your legs and arms.

As most of my clients know, I’m not a big fan of long-duration aerobic activity as a means to achieve fat loss. There is plenty of evidence that high-intensity interval training is a much better technique, and is usually what I have my clients do.
Anyone who has survived my bootcamp routines know what high-intensity interval training is.
