Yes, High Fructose Corn Syrup Still Sucks

So, some jackass lobbying group for the high fructose corn syrup industry has actually created TV commercials telling us that hfc is okay for you.

In fact, they give the impression that since it’s made from corn, it’s actually good for you. Now they don’t say that explicitly, but they push that point quite strongly.

Well, much of the table sugar sold in this country is made from sugar beets, so I guess that must be good for you too.

Please just stop. With an election coming up, we’ve already got enough stupid commercials on TV. We don’t need any more.

Too much sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and other sweeteners are one of the major causes of the obesity problem in this country, as well as a big contributor to the spike in Type II diabetes that has occurred in the past two decades.

High fructose corn syrup still sucks and you should avoid products that contain it. Doesn’t matter what it’s made from. Corn, shmorn.

And if you know someone who actually works for this corn lobbying group, tell him that he’s an idiot.

Wow! Even the food industry is tying to put a spin on the truth. I can see straight thru it but my son wouldn’t have a clue. Luckily we don’t have TV right now; well at least we don’t have any TV channels, just a TV to watch movies on. Thanks for a reminder why I don’t pay to have commercials like that in my home. Another good reason for me to turn the TV off, and be more active.
