Dave is one of the Co-Founders of Renegade Playground, LLC, a company formed to organize and stage Renegade Playground Challenge(tm) events across the country. If you don’t know what the Renegede Playground Challenge is, picture a 5k – 6k(ish) off-road foot race, except with lots of insane obstacles like monkey bars, cargo net walls, mud holes, ridiculously steep hills, a school bus, and more. Oh yeah, there’s a live band, beer, and food involved as well. Basically, it’s a bunch of adults doing the dumb stuff their moms yelled at them about when they were kids. Now we just do it on a bigger scale. And, while we’re at it, we work to raise a bunch of money for charities that do good things for kids. How can you beat that?
Anyway, back to Dave. He’s also the owner of a Perfect Fit, LLC, a company that operates small-group fitness bootcamps, as well as markets products online aimed at fitness-oriented consumers as well as to other fitness professionals.
Back in a previous life, he held various senior management positions in both the satellite television and broadband internet industries. Despite the glory that living in airplanes and hotels, while working 60 – 70 hour weeks for sometimes insane bosses can bring, Dave decided in early 2002 that he was done with that, and has never worked for anyone else since.
He hates politics and will never discuss them with you, and feels everyone should be able to have whatever religious views they want as long as they do no harm, treat everyone with respect, and keep their views to themselves. Sometimes funny (intentionally or not), sometimes serious, sometimes off the subject. And occasionally he’ll drop the F-bomb (never in front of his Mom) or use similarly colorful language. If you’re easily offended, well, you’ve been forewarned.
Dave also doesn’t usually speak in the third person.
Living with his beautiful wife and two wonderful daughters in New Hampshire, he really can’t complain and has a pretty damn good life.
