redshirtI’m Dave Soucy, body transformation coach, instructor, author, head fitness guy and owner of Perfect Fit Fitness Bootcamps, founder of Healthy Weight Inner Circle and creator of The Body Transformation Course 2.0.

I’m certified through both the American Council on Exercise and the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association. That’s all well and good, but the real deal is that I founded Perfect Fit and HWIC to teach my clients that real health, fitness, and weight loss is achieved through a lifestyle of clean nutrition and simple, consistent exercise.  And yes, it is that basic.

I consider it my mission to expose all of the scams, fads, myths, and misconceptions in the weight loss industry that do nothing but keep people fat.  Whether it is with diet pills, worthless infomercial gadgets, the latest ab exercisers, or some new Hollywood diet, there are a million scumbag marketers out there who want nothing more than to steal your money, and I’m going to beat on every one of them, one scumbag at a time.

Like many of you, I know what it’s like to battle with weight, having spent the majority of my childhood and adult years fighting that battle.

Every so often through the years, I’d get on the exercise wagon, couple that with the latest extreme or fad diet, and would lose weight, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. And like clockwork, whatever weight that was lost, and usually a little more, ended up coming back as soon as the diet or exercise routine became unmanageable. Add in a high pressure job that required way too much travel and late night room service food, and by the time I was 35 I was fat, unhealthy, tired all the time, and a heart attack waiting to happen.  Good times.

When an opportunity came up to leave the high pressure career (and psycho bosses) behind, I jumped at the chance and have never looked back. I decided I was done slowly killing myself in the corporate world.  I had done pretty well climbing the corporate ladder, only to find out the ladder was leaning against the wrong freaking wall.  What good was another title or promotion going to do me if it killed me in the process?

I decided I was never going to have another J-O-B again, and threw all of my efforts into educating myself on health, nutrition, and fitness.  In the process I discovered why my exercise programs of the past never produced the results I wanted and why all of those diets actually ended up making me fatter!

Now, my goal is to teach you the same.

Whether it’s running my high-powered Fitness Bootcamps, speaking to groups, writing articles, or engaging in discussions with members on the forums at Healthy Weight Inner Circle, my motivation is to help you realize that you too can achieve health and wellness through sound, safe, and effective nutrition and exercise principles, while leaving the stupid fad diets, pills, and infomercial products behind.

And, in case you’re curious, I’m  a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, and currently reside in Hooksett, NH with my awesome wife and two daughters.
